Breeder input plays an important role in shaping future research priorities for the Australian thoroughbred breeding industry.
Thoroughbred Breeders Australia welcomes suggestions from breeders and industry participants about issues that could benefit from further research, development or extension. These suggestions help identify practical, industry-focused research priorities and may be shared with AgriFutures Australia for consideration through the Thoroughbred Horses Program.
When putting forward an idea, it may help to consider:
What are the most important issues or challenges affecting the breeding industry, either now or in the years ahead?
What type of research, development or extension project could help address those issues?
Suggestions may relate to areas such as breeding outcomes, foal health, horse welfare, workforce safety, environmental sustainability, disease prevention, parasite management, biosecurity, industry training or community engagement.
