South Australian Thoroughbred Breeders Association Inc.

The South Australian Thoroughbred Breeders Inc. was formed in the late 1940s with its original name, the South Australian Bloodhorse Breeders Association. The aim of the association is to promote and advance the interests of the thoroughbred and its breeders in South Australia.

The SATB were closely involved with the planning and structuring of the Breeders Incentive Scheme (SABIS) and participate with representation on the Policy Group.

Recognition of excellence within the industry is made with monthly and seasonal awards. presented at the Annual Dinner with the highlight the prestigious Horse of the Year.
