17. Regional Levy Seminar Program

Regional levy seminars are scheduled across Australia during May and June 2013 to enable potential levy payers have a firsthand opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the Thoroughbred R&D levy proposal. The seminars will be hosted by the respective State or Regional Thoroughbred Associations. Interstate breeders are most welcome to attend any of the across border seminars.

All seminars will have a 90 minute program format comprising:


  • Introduction by the host State or Regional Branch;

  • Thoroughbred Breeders Australia Board update;

  • An overview of the Thoroughbred R&D program, and review of the Thoroughbred R&D Plan objectives, priorities and goals - with a ‘tick the box’ type survey;

  • Thoroughbred R&D Levy proposal presentation – including time for questions;

  • Followed by informal discussions / networking / refreshments / inspection of RIRDC publications display.

  • Rockhampton (QLD) Levy Seminar – Thursday 16th May, commencing at 7.00 pm at the Callaghan Park Racecourse - Public Grandstand Bar, Reaney Street North Rockhampton QLD 4700.
