Queensland’s Gaden Park Stud paid top price of $290,000 for Zabeel mare Satin 'N' Silk (consigned by Philippa Duncan Bloodstock as agent) on Day 2 of the Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale in Sydney. The metropolitan-winning full-sister to stakes winners Sybeel & Chamoix is in foal to Gr1 French Arc hero Carnegie. Second top price was $220,000 paid by NSW buyer Tony Bott for South Sea Storm (also consigned by Philippa Duncan Bloodstock); she is out of a half-sister to champion & leading sire-source Storm Bird, & is in foal to Coolmore's 'Iron Horse' champion Giant's Causeway. Overall 22 mares sold for $100,000 or more yesterday:
