 14. Top Mares Entered For Gold Coast Sale

A bevy of top class mares have been entered for the new Magic Millions "National Sale" at the Gold Coast in May.

Entries for "The National Sale" to be held on from May 4-7 do not close until March 7 but already has attracted widespread support in all categories.

The National Winter Yearling Sale will start proceedings on Sunday May 4., replacing the previous Winter Carnival Yearling Sale traditionally held in June.

The National Broodmare & Weanling Sale will be held over three days froim May 5-7.

Magic Millions is offering all broodmare and weanling vendors the opportunity to sell and pay no commission for every sale of $100,000 or more.

There will also be no pass in commission payable for unsold lots.

The entries for the broodmare sale include many notable Group winners, including several who will be racing through the autumn carnival.

The entries include Ateates, Fair Embrace, Suzy Grey, Galapagos Girl, Procrastinate, Gold Lottey, Watch, Regal Sea, Presumed Innocent, Lilting, De Lollies and Settlers Cove.

Other notable entries for the broodmare section include sisters to Marscay, Ruffles, Storm and US G2 winner Navarone, and half sisters to Catbird, Northern Drake, Richfield Lass, Richfield Lady, Storm, Runaway Groom, Arlington Road, Moonflute, Pakaraka Star, Regal Sea, US G1 winner Taking Risks and champion South African filly Joie De Grise.

The sale also includes mares by champion sires Sadlers Wells, Danehill, Sir Tristram, Marscay, Snippets, Zabeel, Don't Say Halo, Biscay, Kris, Diesis, Twig Moss, Luskin Star, Danzatore, Kenmare and Scenic.

The weanlingn entries include progeny by Anabaa, Catbird, Commands, Danehill, Danzero, Desert King, End Sweep, Encosta De Lago, Fusaichi Pegasus, Fasliyev, Flying Spur, Fuji Kiseki, Grand Lodge, Kings Best, Lion Hunter, Redoute's Choice, Snippets and Zabeel.

The sires of yearlings include Danehill, Fasliyev, Catbird, Lion Hunter, General Nediym, Octagonal, King Of Kings, Snippets, Shovhog, Clang, Desert King, Woodman, Canny Lad, Danehill Dancer, Flying Spur, Thunder Gulch and Shinko Forest.
