 8. Full brother to Picaday for Gold Coast 2004

09/6/2003

Leading Queensland stud master Colin McAlpine announced this afternoon that a full brother to today’s Group One The TJ Smith winner Picaday would be offered during the 2004 Magic Millions Yearling Sale series.

McAlpine, who’s Eureka Stud, their families and bloodlines have been to the fore during the Brisbane Carnival, confirmed to Magic Millions Managing Director that his Piccolo-Our Today yearling colt would be entrusted to Magic Millions for sale on the Gold Coast.
“Colin has told me a full brother to Picaday will be offered at the 2004 Yearling Sales,” Chester reported from Eagle Farm today. “This is great news for a great sale.”

Chester, who pointed out that Magic Millions graduates are leading their rivals on the track this season in Group One wins and overall stakes victories, said buyers at Magic Millions Yearling Sales in 2004 will again be presented with a superb line up of well bred and precocious youngsters.

“This season our two-year-olds have been nothing short of sensational,” he said. “Group One winners like Hasna, Polar Success and Picaday and potential superstars like Great is Great and Spark of Light are just a selection of our graduates from the 2002 sales.”
