 1. Singapore Success For Emma Boling

03/6/2003

Melbourne owner and breeder Emma Boling enhanced her remarkable Singapore record when seven-year-old gelding Lord Of The Pines scored at his local debut at Kranji on May 30.

Boling, a successful thoroughbred breeder and member of the Moonee Valley Racing Club committe, has been racing horses in Singapore for two years.

She enjoyed her first success with The City Kid back in July 2001 and the winners have continued to flow through Steal A Scene and Sloane Street.

She also has several other young horses with trainer John Meagher, including two-time Australian winner Pine’s Parade and three-year-old Impulse Connection, who ran fifth at his debut on May 30.

Boling has enjoyed great success as an owner in Australia. Her biggest results include the G1 Thousand Guineas at Caulfield with Lady Of The Pines and the Magic Millions in Queensland with Catnipped.

She also bred this year’s leading juvenile filly Hasna.

Lord Of The Pines won four races and placed on a further 13 occasions from 34 starts when racing in Australia.
