Fireworks
Set For Millions First Hour

The
opening hour of next week's Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the
Gold Coast promises plenty of fireworks with plenty of quality lots set to go
under the hammer during the first session.
Among the first 30 lots in the catalogue are a Sunday Silence colt, a three
quarter brother to Flying Spur, a full sister to Keeper, a half brother to
Knowledge, a three quarter brother to On Type, a colt from the Oaks heroine
Northwood Plume, a three quarter sister to Unworldly, a full sister to Sircarn
Damon and a three quarter brother to Hire.
The first lot to go under the hammer will by a bay colt by the ill fated End
Sweep, a Canadian Group One winning and producing son of Forty Niner.
The colt is from thge Akaaber mare Nadia, who is a full sister to the Tasmanian
Derby winner Suavity and the Flemington stakes winner Akarana.
Super Vobis qualified, the colt is on the account of New South Wales based
Murrulla Stud, acting as agent for Glenwood.
A huge price is expected for the following lot, a chestnut colt by the former
champion Japanese siring star Sunday Silence.
Offered by John and Julie Singleton's Strawberry Hill Stud, the colt is from an
unraced Bluebird sister to Group One winner Race Master and the dual Group
placed sire Chagall. His dam is also a half sister to the VRC, AJC and
Queensland Oaks champion November Rain, who is now the dam of South African Oaks
winner Stormy Hill.
Lot 5 is a brown filly by Quest for Fame from a lightly raced and placed Air de
France mare Nectar. On the account of the Darling Downs based Markham Stud the
filly is a three quarter sister to the ill fated Flight Stakes winning
Unworldly.
Two lots later a half brother to the Blue Diamond Stakes winner Knowledge will
enter the ring. Offered by the Marheine family's Stratheden Stud, a proven sale
topping stud, the colt is by Mr. Prospector's champion son Woodman.
As well as being a half brother to Knowledge, the colt is from the Carbine Club
Stakes winning Kings Island mare New Acquaintance. She was also a Group Two race
runner-up.
The tenth yearling catalogued for sale is a three quarter brother to the Golden
Slipper winning sire Flying Spur. By the champion sire and sire of sires
Danehill, the colt is part of the quality packed Coolmore Stud draft.
From the family of fellow Group One winners Lure Indienne and Encosta de Lago,
the colt is a half brother to the international stakes performers Outsourcing
and Etruscan King.
About two minutes later a chestnut colt by the Group One winning two-year-old
and Champion three-year-old Zeditave will enter the ring.
A half brother to last season's Sydney two-year-old winner Architrave, the colt
is a three quarter brother to the dual Group Two winning On Type.
Lot 16, from Jim Fleming's Tyreel Thoroughbred Stud is a colt by Danehill's
Golden Slipper winning son Flying Spur, now the sire of no less than four Group
One winners.
The colt is from the VRC Oaks and Thousand Guineas (both G1s) winner Northwood
Plume, the top filly on The 1994-95 Australasian 3YO Classification.
A short time later into the ring is a full sister to the Cambridge Stud based
sire, the Group One winning Keeper.
By the champion sire Danehill, the yearling filly is from the unraced Pleasant
Colony mare Nuwirah, who is also the dam of Downing Street, a stakes performer
in Australia who has also starred in Macau.
The twenty third member of the quality catalogue is a bay filly on the account
of Kelso Bloodstock, who are acting as agent for Valley's End Stud.
By the exciting young sire, and Arc winning galloper Carnegie, the filly is a
full sister to the Geelong Derby Trial Stakes winner Sircarn Damon, a galloper
who was placed fourth as a two and three-year-old at Group One level.
Lot 28 is a brown colt from Noble Park Stud by Bletchingly's Golden Slipper
winning son Canny Lad.
From the three time winning Orsay, who's best win came in the Group Two AV
Kewney Stakes in Melbourne, the colt is a three quarter brother to the Royal
Sovereign Stakes (G2) winner Hire.
Quality continues throughout the entire catalogue of the first four sessions of
the Premier Sale, with a number of classically bred youngsters who will suit
buyers of all level.
