 25. Hong Kong Snap Up First Bianconi Yearling

10/01/2003

The first yearling by Bianconi offered at auction in Australia was knocked down for an impressive $180,000 during the second session of the Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast.
Regarded as one of the best bred stallions in the world, Bianconi has been a popular member of the Collingrove Stud roster when he shuttles to Australia from the United States.

A winner of the Group Two Diadem Stakes at Ascot, Bianconi's pedigree is nothing short of sensational. He is from the champion Northern Hemisphere broodmare Fall Aspen, a dam of a staggering seven lengths.

The subject yearling is bound to rack up some frequent flyer points as he was snapped up by representatives of the Hong Kong Jockey Club and is likely to be reoffered at their 2003 International Sale in about eleven months time.

The colt, a bay offered by Segenhoe Stud from New South Wales, is a half brother to the exceptional sprinter Pittance (14 wins) and the multiple stakes performer Marauder.

Vintage Dance, the dam of the colt, was a stakes winning juvenile, and is a half sister to Laudemio, Loving Cup and the dam of Shy Hero.
