The 2003 Premier Yearling Sale begins this morning at 11 am with the first of 580 lots scheduled to sell over three days. We hope to consolidate on the success of last year’s sale and with a quality catalogue featuring the progeny of a host of popular stallions, we believe that buyers will find plenty to their liking.

Choisir’s sire Danehill Dancer (IRE) has strong representation over the three days with 17 lots, including six on the first day of selling.

Hammerbeam’s victory over Murphy’s Blu Boy in the MRC Blue Diamond Prelude Gr 3, is sure to add interest to an outstanding draft of 12 yearlings by his sire Grand Lodge (USA).
Flying Spur and Danzero both have some super yearlings on show, while first season sires Catbird and Fasliyev (USA) have been hugely popular at the sales already held this year and will undoubtedly enjoy a warm reception here.

Another of the hot first season sires has been Commands, who has just the three yearlings highlighted by a half-brother to promising two year old FRESH BOY, runner up in the Inglis Premier Race. The colt will hit the ring as Lot 116, prepared by Erinvale Throughbreds as agent.
