Trainer Bob Thomsen couldn't be happier with his highly promising youngster Thorn Park, but he also couldn't be happier with the 'old' stalwart Shogun Lodge.

Shogun Lodge is back in work and will gallop between races at Randwick this Saturday.
His recent spell was a little different to the norm.

"What we did with him was a very different exercise," said Thomsen at Canterbury tonight.
"It's not usual to put a horse that's won over $4 Million in a paddock with a herd of other horses.

"He didn't know what to do with himself for the first week or 10 days.

"Then he made a friend and that was it, he became king pin!

"He'll have a gallop on Saturday and we'll have to wait and see if we can switch him back on to racing, but it'll be an interesting time."
