Glorious Colt With A Shining Pedigree

A
former talented black type performing Bellotto mare, Devil’s Gold has made a
great start to her career as a broodmare.
At this month’s Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale at Morphettville the
latest yearling from Devil’s Gold, her third foal, will go under the hammer
during the second of three sessions.
Already the young mare has been represented by the Group Three Blue Diamond
Preview and listed Maribyrnong Trial Stakes winner Bardego. A daughter of
Barathea, Bardego was knocked down for $45,000 to Troy Corstens in the Adelaide
ring two years ago and he is bound to be one of the more interested onlookers,
and perhaps bidders, when the colt has his time in the spotlight.
Bay in colour, the colt is by Relaunch’s Group One winning son Honour and
Glory, the sire of the champion Breeders’ Cup winning youngster Caressing.
Offered by Meadows based breeder Graham Delsar, the SABIS qualified youngster is
from the four time winner Devil’s Gold, who ran a great second in the Toy Show
Quality Handicap in Sydney.
Catalogued as lot number 133, the September foaling is one of the quality
offerings during the second session of the time honoured sale on February 20.
