 22. Inglis Waive Pass-In Commission

03/02/2003

William Inglis & Son Ltd today announced that there will no pass in commission on weanlings and broodmares at the biggest breeding stock sale in the Southern Hemisphere to be held May 23, 25 & 26.

At their world class Newmarket Complex in Sydney, the company last year posted record sales results with 66 mares fetching above $100,000 and 9 mares above $400,000. Industry experts indicated that this was the strongest breeding stock sale ever seen in Australasia.

Insurance Manager Wayne Aldridge confirmed that International champion multiple group one winning racemare Hoeberg will be offered at this year’s Australian Broodmare sale, among other impressive drafts from many of Australia and New Zealand’s leading thoroughbred studs.

William Inglis & Son Ltd anticipate increased entries for the Select Weanling Sale which will feature the entire draft of weanlings from Lark Hill Thoroughbreds, including the Fasliyev half brother to Caulfield Cup winner Diatribe. Many other leading nurseries have indicated their support for this important emerging market.

A new initiative by the firm to preview the highlight mares on offer will be a useful tool in the overall marketing strategy for the sale. This preview document will be distributed world wide and is sure to create strong international buyer interest in the sale.
Entries for the sale will close on Friday February 28.
