Close
relations to Murphy's Blu Boy and Innovation Girl are ste to light up coming
yearling sales around Australia.
The Magic Millions April sale at the Gold Coast will attract huge interest
thanks to super two-year-old Murphy’s Blu Boy.
The yearling brother to Murphy's Blu Boy will be offered at the April sale by
Mick Hicks, the Goondiwindi owner-trainer who bred Murphy both colts.
However Hicks has already announced that he has placed a $200,000 reserve on the
Blu Tusmani yearling.
"He is a bit small but he has been out on grass and only came in from the
paddock in the past three weeks,” Hicks said.
“He is an October foal while Murphy's Blu Boy was foaled in August.
Murphy's Arch, the nine-year-old dam of Murphy's Blu Boy, has been dry for the
past two years but Hicks does not plan to sell her.
The Australian Easter Yearling Sale will also feature a close relation to
Murphy’s Boy Blu.
Scone’s Ashleigh Thoroughbreds will offer a colt by Octagonal from Bletchingly
mare Ann Juliet, the grandam of Murphy’s Blu Boy.
Likewise, brilliant filly Innovation Girl has thrown the spotlight on two of her
close relations to be offered at forthcoming sales.
Innovation Girl's three-quarter brother by Rubiton from Voodoo Gleam will be
offered at the Magic Millions Adelaide Sale on February 19.
Then comes a full sister to Innovation Girl, by Rubiton from Bright Gleam, at
the Australian Easter Yearling Sale in Sydney in April, having been withdrawn
from next week’s Premier Sale in Melbourne to maximise her worth in the sale
ring.
