 16. Magic Millions Prepares to Breeze Up

29/8/2003

Whilst the concept of Ready to Run Sales hasn’t been a flying success in Australia in comparison to it’s popularity in the US, Magic Millions will again conduct two breeze-up sales this year.

The first of the sales will be held at Belmont Park in Western Australia on the 23rd of September.

Less than a week later, the ready to run action switches to the Gold Coast with another Ready To Run sale being conducted on Sunday the 28th of September.

On the Gold Coast, a good catalogue of one hundred and forty seven two year-olds will be up for grabs.

In Perth, sixty-seven two year-olds will be put through their paces in the morning, before being put under the hammer following lunch.

From the local breeding ranks, two year-olds sired by WA stallions include Bletchley Park, Carry a Smile, Don’t Say Halo, Dr Johnson, Fimiston, Key Business, Laranto, Lomond Bay, Magic of Money, Metal Storm, Old Spice, Scenic, Speed Week and Star Pak.

Joining the local sires are lots by name sires Bellotto, Brief Truce, Desert King, Desert Sun, Devaraja, Grand Lodge, Honour and Glory, Hurricane Sky, Made of Gold, Picnicker, Red Ransom, Secret Savings, Strategic, Thunder Gulch, Bahhare, Deputy Governor and Senor Pete.
