FORUM AIMS TO ENTICE NEW OWNERS

People
who are interested in owning a racehorse are invited to attend the Aushorse
Ownership Forum to coincide with the Inglis Australian 2YO Breeze Up Sale, in
Sydney on September 27.
Key
speaker at the forum is international cricketer of the year and successful
thoroughbred management consultant Simon O’Donnell, whose purchases include
Compulsion, Derobe, Delirious, Skyrocket and Elegancy, among others.

The
forum will be held at Inglis’ Newmarket Sale complex, Young St, Randwick,
starting at 9am. |
“Participants
will have the opportunity to have questions answered by the experts, hear about
selecting the right horse, syndication and other ownership options, and they
will tour the sale complex to inspect horses and meet vendors before the sale
begins,” said Aushorse secretary Bronwyn Farr.
“Aushorse, in conjunction with William Inglis, held an ownership forum to
coincide with the Sires’ Produce Yearling Sale, and we received overwhelmingly
positive feedback from 60-odd participants who said they appreciated the chance
to get practical, first-hand advice, so we intend to run a series of similar
forums in 2002-2003,” she added.
“Recent race results demonstrate yet again that many successful racehorses are
extremely affordable – look at Bel Esprit, who cost $9,000, or Peter Pan
Stakes winner Sportsman, who cost $8,000,” she said.
