Evergreen
sire Rory's Jester has continued his incredible siring career when Flying Ace
became his second Magic Millions Classic winner this year in Penang over the
weekend.
In one of the most sensational wins seen on the Asian circuit in many seasons
Flying Ace slaughtered his rivals by ten lengths in Malaysia's richest race for
juveniles.
Sold at the 2001 Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale for $85,000, Flying Ace
follows in the footsteps of the runaway Perth Magic Millions winner Wyndam
Glory, who blazed to glory at Belmont Park earlier in the year.
Flying Ace, who is trained by Bill Lee, was ridden to victory by Perth's top
female rider Alana Sansom. He cruised home in the 1200 metre event to beat Prime
Treasure and Starring in a breeze.
From the Bluebird mare Magpies, he was having just his second start. At his
debut a couple of months ago he scored a stunning eight length win.
The weekend's triumph for Rory's Jester further enhanced an already illustrious
siring career. At the start of the season the son of Crown Jester notched up his
500th individual winner, a figure which was rapidly grown to 508 in the past
week.
A Golden Slipper winner on the track, Rory’s Jester is now better known as one
of Australia’s most popular and successful sires.
As well as siring the brilliant Group One winners like Isca, Racer’s Edge,
Chortle and Aragen, he is the sire of a staggering 75% winners per runners.
He’s had winners in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau, the
United States, Canada, England and Hong Kong.
