Sale Attracts Asian Interest

An international buying bench contributed to a 45 percent increase in the
average at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Horses in Training Sale on September
29.
The average climbed from $13,146 to $19,083 when 46 lots were sold for a total
of $877,800 with successful bidders coming from Singapore, Malaysia, NSWa,
Western Australia and Victoria.
The top price of $90,000was paid for a colt by Sequalo from Dieriumph. She was
puchased by prominent Queensland racing figure Peter Bredhauer on behalf of a
Singaporean businessman.
Malaysian trainer Richard Lines purchased a colt by Clang from Goodness for
$80,000 while the Singapore Turf Club purchased two lots, a colt by Success
Express for $50,000 and a colt by Piccolo for $42,500.
Jonny Lim of Malaysia took home a Sea Road colt out of Proficiency for $40,000
and fellow Malaysian Tan Thong Lai secured another Sea Road colt for $35,000.
Successful NSW owners Bill and Dianne Fisher purchased a gelding by Mister Kwila
from Our Zoffany Girl for $51,000.
