Story
By Chris Scholtz
Victorian-based stallions Rory’s Jester and Scenic have combined in the
explosive win of Wyndam Easy at Happy Valley in Hong Kong on September 25.
By the remarkably pre-potent Rory’s Jester, the 3YO gelding is a full brother
to stakes placed Twin Peaks and hails from the unraced Scenic mare Bumps.
Rory’s Jester and Scenic stand together at Collingrove Victoria.
Bumps is a half-sister to one of Rory's Jester's most brilliant performers, the
Gold Coast Magic Millions winner Catnipped.
Wyndam Easy was purchased for $HK600,000 ($A141,000) at the Hong Kong
International Sale last year by Peter Kwan.
Kwan also owns Perth Magic Millions winner Wyndam Glory, also by Rory’s
Jester.
Wyndam Easy, trained by David Hayes, has now won $HK1.4 million prizemoney
($A330,000) from two wins and four thirds and is currently second only to
Danehill purchase The Duke in the race for the $HK1 million bonus for graduates
of the International Sale.
Meanwhile Hypnotist, a son of Collingrove’s exciting shuttle stallion Favorite
Trick, added to the first crop success of the US Horse of the Year by becoming
his fourth US two-year-old winner.
