The Flight Stakes winner is the latest Gr.1 winner to graduate from Arrowfield Gallant 3yo filly Royal Purler, who is Arrowfield bred, raised and sold, accomplished what no other horse had been able to do this spring when she beat Victory Vein in the Gr.1 Flight Stakes at Randwick on the weekend. To add further merit to the win, the third placegetter was the highly regarded Private Steer.

Royal Purler is by Hector Protector out of the Tolomeo mare Purling, a half sister to AJC Fernhill Hcp (L) winner Sir Amadi and a granddaughter of the former outstanding racemare Princess Talaria. A bargain buy at just $8,000 from the William Inglis Classic Sale, Royal Purler has now returned her owners more than $300,000 in prizemoney.
