Story By Chris Scholtz

Malaysian buyers contributed to a significant increase in the market at the third Magic Millions Perth Horses In Training Sale on September 17.

Malaysian trainer Tiang Kim Choi paid the top price for the colt by Key Business out of Fury Princess while the Malaysian contingent accounted for the purchase of 12 ready to run horses.

Penang Turf Club purchased one of the second top priced horses, a bay gelding by Hennessy out of Cara Bambina, for $42,500.

South Australia’s Peter Knight paid the same price for a chestnut gelding by Piccolo out of Deo Gratias.

Prominent West Australian buyers included John Chalmers Bloodstock, who purchased six ready to run horses by Scenic, Land Speed Record, Key Business, Ascot Knight, Don't Say Halo and Chanteclair.

Other prominent WA buyers included Neville Parnham, Franz Martin Gumpoltsberger, W. Ong, Graham Webster and G. O'Donnell.

Queensland buyers made thier presence known with P. Gray taking home the brown gelding by Don't Say Halo out of Reclaiming for $35,000 and Lee Selwyn from Victoria purchased a bay or brown colt by Charnwood Forest out of Northern Way for $29,000.
