Millions connection to Breeders Cup winner.

Magic
Millions graduate ZODIAC MISS has increased her stakes in the broodmare game
with her daughter AZERI (Jade Hunter), claiming a fifth Group One victory on
Saturday the 26th October 2002.
AZERI took out the Arlington Breeders' Cup Distaff in North America, by five
lengths and added a cool US$1,040,000 to her winnings. AZERI has previously
claimed victory in the Hollywood Milady H Gr.1, Vanity H Gr.1, Santa Anita Santa
Margarita H Gr.1 and the Oaklawn Apple Blossom H Gr.1.
ZODIAC MISS was catalogued for sale at the Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling
Sale in 1991. Being eligible for the sales company incentive races, she ran a
very creditable second in the 1992 Magic Millions 2YO Classic race.
A strong field on Magic Millions day saw her relegated to second only by one of
the our greatest racehorses, the never to be forgotten CLAN O'SULLIVAN
(Australian Champion 2YO Colt 1991-92).
ZODIAC MISS became a Group winner in her own right when won the Group Three NJC
Coca-Cola Classic, in March 1992. She is by the highly successful broodmare sire
Ahonoora (GB) out of Irish bred Try My Best (USA) mare Capricornia (IRE), she
was offered for sale at the Magic Millions on account of Arrowfield Stud, Scone,
NSW.
The family has proved a consistent source of Group One winners with the closely
related Balletomane producing SILIC (8 wins inc. Breeders' Cup Mile S Gr.1,
Hollywood Shoemaker Mile H Gr.1). The grandam of ZODIAC MISS is also a
half-sister to PRUDENT LADY (dam of NO LUTE [2 wins inc.
Longchamp Prix Lupin Gr.1], and RIVER LADY [4 wins inc. French One Thousand
Guineas Gr.1]).
