AJC Derby winner Universal Prince will stand at Dr Jack and Sue Woolridge’s Inverness Stud, Bowral NSW in 2003.

SCENIC sire of UNIVERSAL PRINCE
An $80,000 purchase at the 1999 Easter Yearling Sale Universal Prince has won 7 of his 30 starts and placed 10 times for earnings of over $3 million. He triumphed in four Group 1 races, The Ranvet Stakes (G1), AJC Australian Derby (G1), Spring Champion Stakes (G1) and STC Canterbury Guineas (G1).

A son of the trail blazing Sadler’s Wells stud success Scenic, Universal Prince is a three-quarter brother to Blevic the winner of 8 races including the Victoria Derby (G1), VRC Sires' Produce Stakes (G1), MVRC Bill Stutt Stakes (G2), Alister Clark Stakes (G2), SAJC Eagle Blue Breeders' Stakes (G2) and MVRC AAMI Vase (G3). The underrated Blevic is proving a more than useful stallion at Kambula Stud, S.A.

Biscay Bird (Bluebird) the dam of Universal Prince is a direct descendent of the influential tap-root broodmare Marchetta, ancestress of such notable performers as Alycidon, Klairon, Larkspur, Acropolis, My Babu, Ambiorix, Turn-To, English Prince, Bustino, Imperial Prince, Altesse Royale, Celtic Ash, Atilla, Die Hard, Borealis and Cagire II.
