The Lindsay Park Classic Collection Sale on April 30 raised more than $7 million from the sale of 71 weanlings and 132 broodmares.

Magic Millions principal John Singleton purchased Biscay Bird for his Strawberry Hill Stud in NSW, the price being the highest ever paid for a thoroughbred in South Australia,

The average for the weanling section of the catalogue was $29,243. Of the 79 catalogued, 71 lots sold.

The average for the broodmare section of the catalogue was $43,477. 137 mares were catalogued and 132 sold.

Other significant purchasers of the sale included Ian Barton of South Australia’s Kanowna Stud SA who outlaid $340,000 for stakes-winning mare Visual Displays, in foal to Agnes World, and $110,000 for the Salieri mare Barossa Valley in foal to Rory’s Jester.
