While Buyers Were Surprisingly Reticent On Sale Night, As Expected, A Further Three Lots From The 2002 Singapore Ready To Run Sale Have Now Been Sold Thanks To Considerable Post Sale Interest From Owners And Trainers.
Lots 6 (By Dancefloor), 7 (By Prized) And 14 (By I Conquer) Who Were Passed In The Ring Have Now Been Sold For S$38,000, S$50,000 And S$55,000 Respectively.

The Aggregate For The 16 Lots Sold Now Is S$875,500, Compared With S$1,245,000 For The 19 Horses Sold Last Year.

S$65,450 Last Year To The Average Price Currently Sits At $54,718 Compared With $65,450 At Last Year's Sale. 

A Number Of The Leading Trainers And Several Major Owners Commented That The Economy Is Still Very Tight In Singapore Which Translates Into Depressed Demand For Racehorses At This Point In Time. 

The Top Price Of The Sale Was $100,000, Which Was Given By Successful Singapore Based Trainer, Paddy Busuttin, For Lot 15, The Gelding By Straight Strike X Minted (By Sovereign Edition). Lot 15 Was A Very Impressive Type And Is Half Brother To Multiple Group Winner In New Zealand, Amore Mia.

Top Price Of Last Year's Sale Was $115,000.

Leading Buyer At The Sale Was A Singaporean Owner, Operating Under The Name Signature Class, Who Spent $175,000 On 4 Lots. 

New Zealand Bloodstock's First Two Singapore Ready To Run Sales Have Established A Fine Record Of Success. The 18 Horses Offered This Year Were All High Quality Individuals Who Will No Doubt Be Making Their Presence Felt In A Major Way On The Singapore Racecourse In The Near Future Also.
