Duncan Grimley, General Manager of Coolmore Australia paid the top price of $120,000 for Shorwon the proven dam of three stakes-winners in Kaladan (STC Winter Cup L), Classic Allure (SAJC Adelaide Guineas Gr.3) and Shorblue (SAJC Adelaide Guineas Gr.3), at the Magic Millions Adelaide Autumn Yearling & Mixed Thoroughbred Sale including the Gawler Park Dispersal Sale in Adelaide on Wednesday. The 18-year old daughter of Buena Shore was in foal to Coolmore’s Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus.

In the Yearling section of the catalogue the supplementary lot 168A a well-developed Brown colt by Rubiton, out of Lowandale stole the show, being purchased by Michael O’Leary for $30,000.

WEANLINGS 
The weanling section of the catalogue was strong on pedigree and proved popular, with the highest price of $46,000 being paid by Kieran Moore Bloodstock for a Bay Colt by Rory’s Jester, out of I’ll Be Back (a catalogue error stating it as a Chestnut filly). 
Doncaster Bloodstock outlaid $42,000 for a Bay Filly by Catbird, out of Lady Of Renown, and New Zealand Bloodstock took home an End Sweep Chestnut Filly, out of the stakes-winner Crazy Neaux.
