Inglis Graduates landed a double at Happy Valley last Wednesday night, with smart sprinter VICTORY MARBLE (1999 Easter $100,000) and second starter DRAGON HORSE (2000 Scone $22,000) both finding success.
Dragon Horse showed brilliant early speed to lead all the way and win for the Andy Leung stable. On pedigree he's certainly entitled to show some pace, being by Hula Chief from Mare Affair, a half-sister to the dam of stakes-winning sprinter Phoenix Park.
Victory Marble was bred in America to Southern Hemisphere time and offered at the 1999 Australian Easter Yearling Sale. He's by outstanding sire Rahy from the good producer Lady O'Lyph, by Lyphard. The four year old has shown a distinct liking for the Happy Valley circuit, winning four races there for the Ricky Yiu stable and banking more than $A500,000.
At Easter this year, Vinery Australia as agent, will offer two well related chestnut fillies by Rahy. Lot 444, a half-sister to Canadian stakes-winner Annihilate, from the Raise a Native mare So Very Fine (USA); and Lot 458, the first foal of American stakes-winner Star City Light (USA), from the family of champion US galloper Easy Goer.

Shane Dye and John Size joined forces with well bred three year old LUCKY COMBINATION (2000 Easter $320,000) for a stylish win at Sha Tin on the weekend. It was his second win from just six starts and the son of Danehill (USA) from Sir Tristram (IRE) mare Tarasova, promises a bright career in the Hong Kong staying ranks.
Collingrove Stud will offer a three-quarter brother-in-blood to Lucky Combination at Easter this year, Lot 86, a smart bay colt by Danehill (USA) from the unraced mare Chacony, a daughter of good producer Adagio (USA).
