27. Big owners and trainers' bonus on offer at Wagga Wagga

The Murrumbidgee Turf Club (MTC) will offer a $200,000 owners and trainers' bonus during the Wagga Gold Cup carnival in April and May.

MTC chief executive Christine Williams said the bonus, sponsored by Jason Nissan, had already attracted interest from top trainers including Tony Vasil and Barbara Joseph.
"This bonus is especially attractive for trainers because, if won, the trainer pockets $100,000 the equivalent of a trainer's winning percentage from a $1 million race," she said.

To win the bonus a trainer must train the winner of the Wagga Gold Cup or Town Plate plus at least four other winners over the three days of the carnival, including one winner of a minor event on each day.
The Wagga Gold Cup carnival will be held on April 28, May 2 and May 3.
