Five on the Trot for Kaapgun

Classic horses certainly can! In recent weeks it seems like graduates of the Classic Yearling Sale have been jumping out of the ground. Brilliant two year olds Bel Esprit, Choisir and Pillaging, have been joined by top filly Fair Embrace and grand sprinter Bomber Bill, now we can add the rapidly improving stayer Kaapgun to the list.
KAAPGUN (1999 Classic $60,000), winner of the STC Canterbury Cup Gr 3, has made a rapid rise through the grades, since winning a Hawkesbury maiden in early November. Noel Mayfield-Smith has placed the son of Kaapstad to perfection and he now boasts the impressive record of six wins and four placings from just 14 starts, with prizemoney of $142,400.
