Inglis Graduates in Hong Kong

04/03/2002

At Happy Valley last Wednesday, improving three year old SUPER SPRINT (2000 Easter $145,000) notched his second victory with a comfortable win in Class Three company. The Ricky Yiu trained sprinter is by Kentucky Derby winner Thunder Gulch (USA) from former outstanding West Australian mare Asian Incline, a stakes-winner of 16 races up to 1500m.
Australian based sire Carry the Crown (CAN) provided a winning double at Happy Valley with CONVERGENCE (1998 Classic $35,000), previously placed in Australia under the name King Kitto, and impressive first starter CARRY THE NEWS, a John Size trained three year old, who found his way to Hong Kong via private sale. It's a fine achievement for the under-rated Carry the Crown (CAN), who stands for just $4,400 at Bob Slack-Smith's Lucernevale Stud, near Dubbo.
