Half sisters to Queensland Oaks winner Mon Mekki will go under the hammer at the June Weanling and Thoroughbred Sale in Melbourne 

Mon Mekki’s dam Makepeace has been a great success at stud, producing five winners including the stakes-winner Make A Scene, a winner of seven races and $314,820. 

She also has produced the smart two year old Peace Ruler, who finished second in the $500,000 Inglis Premier at Flemington in March.

The June sale at Oaklands Junction will feature two other products from Makepeace. 

In the broodmare section is Peace Babe, an unraced half-sister to Mon Mekki by Brigand in foal to Danehill's exciting young sire son Dangerous. 

In the race fillies section, M’Lady Madonna, a placed half-sister to Mon Mekki by Wild Harmony.

The weanling section also features the first foal of Peace Babe, a colt by boom sire Encosta De Lago.

The June Weanling and Thoroughbred Sale, to be held over three days on June 23, 25 and 26, is the largest bloodstock sale in Victoria.

The catalogue of 896 lots opens with a full day of 335 weanlings on June 23 and is followed on the remaining days by 393 broodmares, 65 yearlings and a big selection of tried racehorses.

The weanling sale is the largest sale of it's type in Australia, offering buyers a wide choice of new and established sires including Bianconi, Danehill Dancer, Desert Sun, Encosta De Lago, Fasliyev, Flying Spur, General Nediym, King of Kings, Marauding, Perugino, Redoute's Choice, Rubiton, Secret Savings, Shovhog and Strategic.

The overall quality of the broodmares on offer is the best ever seen at a Victorian bloodstock sale.

Highlights include: Calypso Breeze, by Centaine and dam of stakeswinner Dragila in foal to Thunder Gulch; outstanding race mare Hula Wonder, winner of 13 races including two at G3 level; Always devine, a G2 winner by Snippets in foal to Last Tycoon; Northwood Plume’s dam Couldn’t Miss in foal to King Of Kings; stakeswinner Marine Park, the dam of stakes-winner Drop Anchor in foal to Danehill Dancer; Desert Orchid, dam of G1 winner Desert Sky in foal to Hurricane Sky; stakeswinner Drop Anchor in foal to Perugino; and Spinning Reel, the dam of G1 winner Alfa in foal to Favorite Trick.

The yearling section features youngsters by Archway, El Moxie, Encosta De Lago, Hurricane Sky, Marauding, Maroof, Perugino, Rubiton, and Umatilla.

The racehorse section features Momentary Madness, a winning half-sister by Dehere to G1 winner Blue Murder; metropolitan winner Danviva;; Mrs Bently, the stakes-placed winner of 10 races and Show No Restraint, a winning half-sister to stakeswinner Slanchyvah by Barathea.

Unraced fillies include Flying Fluoro, by Flying Spur from stakeswinner Fluoro, and Exciting Thunder, an unraced three year old filly by Thunder Gulch from stakeswinner Excitable Lady
