*OUR Emblem, sire of current US superstar War Emblem, has been purchased by a partnership of leading Kentucky studs Taylor Made Farm and WinStar Farm.

The 11-year-old son of Mr. Prospector from the undefeated champion mare Personal Ensign is currently completing his 2002 season at Murmur Farm in Maryland. He will stand at Taylor Made Farm in 2003.

The purchase price was reported to be more than $US10 million.

It is the second time Taylor Made and WinStar have combined to make a notable purchase, last year teaming in securing a substantial interest in dual Horse of the Year Tiznow. Tiznow is now standing at WinStar Farm.

Murmur Farm purchased Our Emblem for a reported $200,000 last year after he had stood for five season at Claiborne Farm in Kentucky.

Due to the deeds of War Emblem, Our Emblem is now on top of the US general sire list with only three crops of racing age.
He has sired five stakes winners and one stakes-placed runner among 35 individual winners from 65 starters.

Our Emblem’s other stakes winners include Private Emblem, winner of the G2 Arkansas Derby.

Our Emblem is a full brother to G1 winners Miner’s Mark and Traditionally and a half brother to G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies winner My Flag. He won five of 27 career starts and was placed in three G1 events.
