 82. Shuttle stallions still on hold in quarantine

27/08/2002

The Canadian pacing stallion that has been the subject of numerous veterinary tests in the last few days has still not been given the all clear.

Byron Rogers from Arrowfield Stud advised this afternoon that there has still been no positive news from the quarantine station.

"The horse has had more blood taken this morning for tests and we won't know the results for some time yet," said Rogers.

" If he is diagnosed with West Nile Virus, the other stallions will be allowed to leave as it is not contagious. However the concern is, if it is something else. To say the least it is a worrying time for everyone."
