 62. Yarradale Stud dispersal sale

The Yarradale Stud Unreserved Dispersal Sale was held on Sunday the 18th August 2002, on the property at 536 O'Brien Road, Gidgegannup, Western Australia.

The sale of stallion nominations to the Yarradale based stallions, Citidancer (IRE), Euclase, Medal Of Honor, Pricelessly (USA) and Seignorial (USA) started the sale in fine style following the Stallion Parade.

STALLION NOMINATIONS

Fifteen Nominations went under the hammer recording a 100% clearance rate, averaging $4,900 with the top price of $7,000 being paid by John Chalmers Bloodstock who secured three nominations at the same price to the very promising stallion Pricelessly (USA) by Affirmed, who is the sire of West Australian stakes-winners BORN PRICELESS and FORTUNE STREAK.

Sold 15, Aggregate $73,000, Average $4,900, Top Price $7,000

YEARLINGS

Mr Charles Burton of Western Australia paid the top price of $15,000 for the yearling colt by Euclase out of Vainremer, a half-brother to the promising stakes-placegetter Cation (2d WATC Raconteur S L). Commercial Bloodstock, WA, paid $13,000 for the Pricelessly colt out out Regolith, from the family of Oakleigh Plate Group-One winner COAL PAK. Mark Pilkington Bloodstock secured the grey colt by Euclase out of Often for $12,000, the dam a half-sister to Hong Kong performer Lang Jai - Prime Witness.

BROODMARES

The Western Symphony mare Convenient Woman stole the show at the Yarradale sale, with a positive test to Citidancer she sold to Roburke Pty Limited of WA for $31,000. Conveniant Woman is from the West Australian stakes-winning mare SINFULLY WILD, and is herself a five times metropolitan winning mare of close to $100,000.

Computer Source Australia, NSW, paid $29,000 for Rapid Angel (dam of BORN WITH WINGS [WATC Queen's Plate L]) with a positive test to popular stallion Citidancer.

Sold 38, Clearance 100%, Withdrawn 2, Aggregate $217,300, Average $5,718, Top Price $31,000
