Octagonal’s half sister Marquise, one of five Group 1 winners out of the wonder broodmare Eight Carat, produced a bay filly by Danehill at Cambridge Stud last weekend.

This is the first time Marquise has produced a foal to a stallion other than Zabeel. She has two fillies and a colt by Zabeel that made $1,050,000 yearling at the Karaka sales this year. The Danehill colt foal is closely related to the full brothers Danewin and Commands who are by Danehill out of Eight Carat’s unraced daughter Cotehele House.
