 42. Another Stakes Winner For Fuji Kiseki

12/08/2002

Arrowfield Stud’s Fuji Kiseki came up with another stakes winner in Japan on Sunday when the 5yo mare Mitsuwa Top Lady (ex Mitsuwa Eagle by Amber Shadai) scored a nose victory in the A$655,000 Queen Stakes (G3), an 1800m race on the turf at Sapporo Racecouse.

FUJI KISDEKI

It was the first stakes win and sixth victory in twenty-five lifetime starts for Mitsuwa Top Lady who edged out the sensationally bred Diamond Biko (Sunday Silence-Stella Madrid by Alydar) which won last years Rose Stakes (G2) and this years Nakayama Himba Stakes (G3). A nose further back was this seasons Kanto Oak’s (G3) winner Sakura Victoria (Tony Bin).

Fuji Kiseki, who sired two stakes winners in Japan last week, is currently the 5th Leading General Sire of Japan. His own sire the perennial champion Sunday Silence leads with Brian’s Time, Tony Bin and Afleet the only stallions ahead of Fuji Kiseki who is ahead of the proven stallions Jade Robbery (8th), Forty Niner (10th), Last Tycoon (13th), Warning (21st), Dancing Brave (33rd), etc.
