 38. Sunday Silence develops laminitis

9/08/2002

World renowned Japanese stallion Sunday Silence has now developed laminitis in his left front foot and is currently in intensive care at Shadai Stallion Station in Hokkaido.
The stud reported this morning that although it is not considered life threatening at the moment, they realise how serious a problem it may be.

The stallion is undergoing intensive care with several vets. Sunday Silence (16) had appeared to be steadily recovering after undergoing emergency surgery for the third time on July the 18th, after the horse contracted bacterial peritendinitis in its right forelimb.
