 47. Twenty sire nominations at Muswellbrook meeting

Beautiful Crown, the former very fast American sprinter by Danzig's noted son Chief's Crown, also sire of Grand Lodge, is one of the sires represented by nominations attached to the Coolmore Stud Queen of the Valley Matchmaker, the feature event listed for the race meeting at Muswelbrook on Tuesday, April 30.

Sire in his first crop of two-year-olds in the current season of good performers in Sydney and Melbourne including a placegetter in the Group One VRC Sires' Produce Stakes, the Alanbridge Stud, Segenhoe Valley, Scone located Beautiful Crown is one of twenty sires contributed by breeders to the Matchmaker, a race in which every contestant earns a nomination for the 2002 season.

The stallions available are not only in the Hunter Valley but five of them are in the Camden district, one at Wagga Wagga, four at Tamworth and another, Canadian Silver, is one of the leading Queensland sires from his base at the Lyndhurst Stud at Warwick.

Besides Beautiful Crown and Canadian Silver,the nominations are for Adventurous (the Fairy King horse which defeated Saintly in the Craven Plate) and Danzig's half-brother Binary Star (by Waquoit), Foxes Hollow Stud, Oakdale; Benji Storm (by one of the world's best sires, Nureyev) and proven source stakes winners Centro (by Century),Tariqua Park Stud,Camden; Peintre Celebre's close relation Chateau Royal (by the Storm Bird sire Personal Hope),Yhi Park Stud, Scone; Dyslexia (Sydney winning son of Kenmare), Riverslea Stud,Wybong,Muswellbrook; 

Proven winner getters Heart of Darkness (by the Mill Reef sire Glint of Gold),Tong Po (by the Damascus sire Private Account) and Spectacular Spice (by same sire as Spectacular Spy and Bite the Bullet), Glen Loch Farm,Tamworth; Skilful Star (impressive Marscay sire), Bridgeview Stud, Cessnock; The Rogers Four (a Raise a Native line sire with winners of over 300 races on the board), Rialda Stud, Blandford; Time Mill (by the Mill Reef champion Shirley Heights), Riverview Lodge, Branxton;

Two Biscay grandsons High Regard (by High Reserve) and Magic Winner (by Ubetido), Bengalla Stud, Muswellbrook; Inflate (stakes winning son of Forty Niner), Kooringal Stud,Wagga Wagga; Singingintherain (by the great Storm Bird sire Storm Cat),Tooloogan Vale Stud, Scone; Sir Laurence (prolific Bletchingly sire), Byerley Stud, Sandy Hollow; and Youthful Legs (a close relation to Danehill), Erin Park Stud,Tamworth.

A concise review on each of the sires with nominations available through the Queen of the Valley Matchmaker, a Class 6 event for fillies and mares, is available from the secretary of the Muswellbrook Race Club for not only connections of the runners but anyone else interested in their credentials.
