Autumn Yearling Sale this weekend

It’s autumn again and that means it is time for the second round of the Inglis Melbourne yearling sales – Oaklands due to host the annual Autumn Yearling Sale on Sunday and Monday.
Highlights of the 456 lot sale include sons and daughters of such proven stallions as Rubiton, Last Tycoon, Flying Spur, Encosta de Lago, Grand Lodge, Jugah, Perugino, Keltrice, Rancho Ruler, Bellotto, Kaapstad, Rustic Amber, Palace Music, Desert Sun, Geiger Counter and Bluebird.
Joining them are yearlings by the exciting young stallions Danehill Dancer, With Class, Spartacus, Encounter, Blazing Reality, Ali-Royal, Shovhog, North Reef, Langfuhr, Filante, West Point, Distorted Humor, Loup Sauvage and Inflate.

Lot 10 b/br.f Dolphin Street – Jupiter Inlet: Daughter of a full sister to the G3 winner Cheval Cavalier from a fine Victorian family whose members include Vitalic, My Evita, Card Queen and Tears Royal.
Lot 25 b.c Soviet Lad – Lady’s Way: Bred by the late Ed Barty, this colt is out of a G3 placed multiple city winning half sister to the Caulfield Cup winner Mannerism (dam of Dandify).
Lot 42 b.c Blazing Reality – Lyric Poetry: A member of his sire’s debut crop, this colt is a half brother to the speedy Straight Ace – winner of 7 of his 18 starts and a recent third behind Sudurka and Mistegic in the Oakleigh Plate.
Lot 50 b.c Baryshnikov – Malatuko: Second foal of an imported Irish mare whose dam is a half sister to the grandam of the champion Might And Power.
Lot 59 ch.c Kaapstad – Marsina: Bred on the successful Sir Tristram/Marscay cross, this colt hails from the family of the G1 winning champion sire Nassipour.

Lot 142 b.f Encosta de Lago – Quick Change: Full sister to the promising filly Costa Grande and half sister to the city winners Lemon Fantasy, Flying Emma and Gold Change. Hails from the same family as Chattanooga, Berberia, Lemon Sorbet, Ascorbic and Spanglet.
Lot 143 b.f Grand Royale – Radiant Wonder: Dam’s first three to race are all winners including the city winner No Foresight and the Singapore winner Radiant. Dam is a half sister to the dual stakes winner Natural Wonder – dam of the dual G3 winner Hula Wonder.
Lot 157 gr.f Keltrice – Ripplette: Daughter of a very good broodmare whose first six foals are all winners including the dual Group winning speedster Magic Music and the promising 3Y0 Tarn Princess. Grandam is the Liston Stakes winner Bow Mistress.
Lot 160 ch.f Spartacus – Rockellen: Interestingly bred filly whose dam, a winning Rancho Ruler mare, hails from the same family as Spartacus. Is therefore line-bred to her own fourth dam, the successful broodmare Pastel.
